I HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR A LIEBSTER AWARD :D
As you can tell this makes me very happy, as a new blogger it's really nice to see people appreciating your blog. Since starting my blog, I have found that the blogging community is a lovely place to be and is full of wonderful people. One of those wonderful people is Viivi Nuoraho (please check out her blog
here), a freelance photographer who lives in Jerusalem, Israel. She nominated me for the Liebster award and I am very grateful for it too :)
Without blogging I would never have been communicating with people like Viivi, all over the world. Many of my followers are from different places and live in different cultures, and this is something I love seeing in your blogs everyday. As an fashion junkie, seeing fashions across the world is fascinating and inspiring, and blogging has given me a whole new access to that :)
So firstly, here are 11 Random Facts About Me:
One - I am moving to Canada in January for a year! I went with my partner in June and we fell in love with the country and can't wait to go back!
Two - I am a huge harry potter fan. I can still remember the day my mom brought home the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone book when it first came out.
Three - I love my own company. I was always the child that could play on her own for hours with nothing but herself and her imagination.
Four - I got lost on holiday when I was 4, but luckily a good man found me on the beach and returned me to my parents. It's one of my earliest memories.
Five - I have a phobia of lose strands of hair, the flush of a toilet and the dark.
Six - I prefer old music to new music. I love Motown such as Marvin Gaye and The Temptations and New Romantic such as Duran Duran and Depeche Mode. (Contrasting, right?)
Seven - I have an addiction to The Simpsons Tapped Out game on my iPhone!
Eight - I can twerk (_!_)
Nine - I have 20+ dresses in my wardrobe at uni and so many more at my parents house!
Ten - I can't stand having an outfit which is all black, its my worst fashion nightmare!
Eleven - My best friend Danial and I have been friends for 10 years!
Viivi has given me 11 questions to answer about myself so here we go!
One - Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I love fashion, and I wanted to see how other people around the world do it. I didn't realise how easy it was to connect with others from different places and cultures and I love trying to incorporate that into my style.
Two - Who is your favourite blogger and why? My favourite blogger is...
Rhiannon from Fashion Rocks My Socks, she was one of the first blogs I got into from watching her YouTube videos. She is so effortlessly cool and I love her style. It would be my blogger dreams to hang with her one day.
Three - Imagine yourself in 20 years, what are you doing?
I would love to live a way of live that is all fair trade and organic. I want to make sure all the clothes I wear come from sustainable sources and have been made by people who are treated fairly and paid a good wage. I would love to have travelled all the places I've wanted to go, and also to have spent some time helping people in a 3rd world country.
Four - Where do you get inspiration from?
There is no direct person I get my inspiration from, but I would definitely say my parents. They have always put me and my sister first and have always tried to give us what we wanted and needed even if it meant going without themselves. They have brought me up so well and I have everything to thank them for, for being the person I am today. Without them I would be nothing, literally.
Five - What is your most expensive item of clothing?
I don't have an expensive piece of clothing, I have never been able to afford something expensive. I have always saved my money and brought dupes of things instead so I could spend time with my partner. My most expensive item of clothing is probably a coat that cost £90 from Miss Selfridge a couple years ago.
Six - What is your favourite item of clothing or favourite beauty product?
I'm going to answer both as I can't help myself! My favourite item of clothing atm has to be a gingham shirt dress from The Whitepepper that I brought a couple weeks ago. It so well made and in trend right now. My favourite beauty product is my Maybelline The Falsie Mascara, it has been in my make-up bag for years!
Severn - If money wasn't an object, what would you be doing career-wise right now?
I would love to be a world leader, I think this world would be so crazy with me running it. There would be rainbows and sparkles and sweets for all! A little too much? Thought so.
Eight - If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why?
I think the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador would be amazing, so beautiful and so much nature.
Nine - Favourite season of the year and why?
I used to love winter, but it never snows here anymore :( So I would say autumn now as it contains all my favourite colours :)
Ten - Do you collect anything, if so then what?
I collect anything from places where I have enjoyed myself. I have an awful memory and forget everything, even the times that are most dear to me so I keep receipts and have even been known to take things I probably shouldn't like pool balls and posters, haha!
Eleven - If you had to sum up your personality in one word, what would it be?
